Meet our Doctors

When not meeting new patients, Dr. Tam-Wai can be found brushing up her golf skills, throwing rocks with her curling team and visiting exciting, new destinations around the world with her family.

Dr. Burroughs has been practicing at Bloor West Optometry since her graduation and became a partner in 2013. Her primary focus is to provide current and exceptional eye care to all ages. She is passionate about preventative eye health and takes the time to educate her patients. Her specialized training includes dry eye therapy and myopia management.

When she is away from the clinic, Dr. Burroughs can be found enjoying the great outdoors with her husband and two children; biking, hiking and downhill skiing. She also enjoys reading a good book and practicing yoga.

She practices full scope optometry including pediatric, geriatric, ocular disease management and pre- and post-operative care. She focuses on educating her patients about their ocular condition, so they fully understand their treatment options.

Outside the clinic, she does committee work with her professional association and with the University of Waterloo School and Eye Institute. She enjoys cooking, travelling, kayaking and biking.

Dr. Victoria Hoy graduated with distinction from the University of Waterloo with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2017 and Doctor of Optometry in 2021. During her studies, her externships in the Scarborough and Mississauga regions were heavily focused on ocular disease management, especially for diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma.

Dr. Hoy is no stranger to the Bloor West Village community as she first joined our office back in 2010 working at the front desk! She looks forward to meeting you and being a part of your healthcare circle!

In her spare time, Dr. Hoy enjoys trying out new recipes and likes to experiment with various noodle dishes!
